# How does Wingman price and bill maintenance work?

**Short answer:** Wingman AeroCare bills labor hourly against an estimate you approve before work starts, and gives an estimate for your specific aircraft on request. Inspections start with a deposit based on estimated hours that is settled against the actual hours worked. Repairs are itemized on an online estimate you approve item by item, and parts plus estimated labor are paid before parts are ordered.

## How is labor charged?

Labor is billed hourly against an estimate you approve first. You see the estimated hours before the work begins, and you are billed for actual time. For an estimate on your specific aircraft, [contact us](https://www.wingmanaerocare.com/contact); general information is on our [pricing page](https://www.wingmanaerocare.com/pricing).

## How are inspections billed?

For annual and 100-hour inspections:

1. **Deposit up front.** Before the inspection starts, we collect a deposit based on the estimated inspection hours for your aircraft.
2. **Inspection.** The aircraft is inspected. Annuals are performed and signed off by an A&P mechanic holding Inspection Authorization.
3. **Settle against actual hours.** When the inspection is complete, the deposit is settled against the hours actually worked.

The deposit is an estimate, not a flat fee. If the inspection takes less time, you pay for less time.

## How are repairs billed?

Anything found during an inspection, and any repair work you bring the aircraft in for, follows the same process:

1. **Online estimate.** Each finding is added to an online estimate with photos and video so you can see exactly what we see.
2. **Labeled by necessity.** Every item is labeled:
   - **Airworthy:** required to return the aircraft to service.
   - **Recommended:** not required today, but advisable.
   - **Optional:** nice to have.
3. **You approve or decline each item individually.** Nothing beyond the approved scope is done without your approval.
4. **Prepayment for parts and labor.** For approved repairs, parts and estimated labor are paid before parts are ordered.

See [how to approve repairs](https://www.wingmanaerocare.com/answers/how-do-i-approve-repairs) for a walk-through.

## How do I pay?

Payment is made by bank transfer link.

## Are there other charges I should know about?

Two policies are worth knowing up front:

- **Storage:** $100 per day, starting 3 days after you are notified that your aircraft is ready. Picking up within that window avoids storage charges.
- **Late payments:** 1.75% per month on balances more than 7 days past due.

## What about work done by partner shops?

Engine overhauls, propeller overhauls, paint, interiors, and major avionics installs go to vetted partner shops, and Wingman manages the process. Ask for the scope and pricing of any partner work before you approve it so you know exactly what is being sent out and what it will cost.

## What is included in the labor warranty?

Wingman's labor warranty runs 90 days or 100 flight hours, whichever comes first. See [what the labor warranty covers](https://www.wingmanaerocare.com/answers/what-does-the-labor-warranty-cover).

## Why bill this way?

Three reasons:

- **No surprises.** You see every finding, with evidence, before money is spent on it.
- **You stay in control.** Approving item by item means you decide what is fixed now, what waits, and what is not worth doing.
- **You pay for actual work.** Inspection deposits settle against real hours rather than a padded flat rate.
