- How does the stop/go gate actually work?
- After Phase 1, we send you a short written finding with photos covering engine health and records. If it is a clear go, we proceed to Phase 2. If it is a clear stop, we invoice only the Phase 1 portion and you walk. If it is somewhere in between, we have a call before you spend another dollar.
- Can I get a cheaper pre-buy somewhere else?
- Yes. Cheaper pre-buys tend to skip the written report, the photo evidence, and the cost-to-correct ranges. ClearBuy is built as a due-diligence product, not a look-over. If you are buying a $40k 150, the economics may not pencil. For anything above that, the deliverables earn their cost back on the first negotiation.
- Can you just tell me verbally what you found?
- No. ClearBuy always produces a written report. Buyers use the report for negotiation, lender review, insurance underwriting, and their own records. A verbal-only pre-buy is the thing this product was built to replace.
- Why do you need seller authorization up front?
- We use a published Access & Disassembly Standard that defines which panels and cowlings we open, and under what scope. Getting seller authorization aligned up front prevents disputes, surprise charges, and scope creep. It protects the buyer and the seller.
- Who owns the report?
- You do. The buyer is our client. Findings are not shared with the seller or their broker without your explicit authorization.
- Can a ClearBuy substitute for an annual?
- Standard and Premium packages, performed to annual scope, can be signed off as an annual at the buyer's request. Agree on the scope and pricing up front, not after the inspection is underway.
