The Bonanza.
Held to the standard it was built to.

The Bonanza family has the longest continuous production run in general aviation history, and the broadest range of condition on the used market. A well-kept A36 is a different airplane than a neglected one. Wingman treats every Bonanza that rolls in as if it's going to be flown hard for another twenty years.

Continental IO-520 / IO-550

The IO-520 and IO-550 are proven, long-lived engines, but they reward disciplined operation and punish neglect. At Front Range density altitudes, cylinder condition, induction integrity, and ignition timing together define whether an engine makes TBO. We do the trend work that makes the difference.

Mixed-Era Avionics Support

Bonanzas range from round-gauge classics to full G500 TXi glass conversions. We support the full spectrum, including panel upgrade planning for owners ready to modernize without losing the airplane's soul. Weight-and-balance, STC applicability, and owner training are part of every panel project.

Bonanza-Specific AD & SB Tracking

The Bonanza's long production run means AD exposure varies dramatically by serial number and production year. We track the following items against your specific aircraft records.

What a Bonanza deserves on the bench.

A Bonanza at annual is a records exercise first and a wrench exercise second. The airframe's history (modifications, STC stacks, prior shop idiosyncrasies) tells you what to look at before you open a single panel.

  • Records review before the airplane is touched: STC stack, mod sequence, and historical shop continuity.
  • V-tail ruddervator attachment structure inspection where applicable, including hidden corrosion points.
  • Fuel bladder condition, seepage pattern, and filler-neck area inspection on wet-bladder models.
  • Landing gear retraction cycle under load: motor current draw, transmission condition, position-indicator accuracy.
  • Magneto internal timing and harness inspection. The Bonanza ignition environment is hot and high-vibration.
  • Control cable condition at pulley brackets and fairleads, a maintenance-intensive area on the airframe family.
